Oscar Sudi, the MP for Kapseret Constituency in Kenya, has had a contentious and unclear educational background. He has openly acknowledged that he did not have formal educational opportunities due to poverty and began working at the age of 15. He has stated that he is passionate about supporting education for needy children in his constituency, often assisting with school fees and mentoring students.
However, Sudi has faced allegations of forging academic credentials, specifically claims that he falsified a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate from Highway Secondary School. A former principal of the school denied that Sudi attended the institution. In 2023, charges related to this forgery were dismissed by the Anti-Corruption Court at Milimani Law Courts due to issues with the evidence presented.
