Hon. Peter Ochieng Orero is a Kenyan politician and educationist currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Kibra Constituency. He was elected in 2022 under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Before joining politics, Hon. Orero had a distinguished career in the education sector, serving as a teacher and administrator in various schools. He was the Principal of Dagoretti High School, Upper Hill School, and Lang’ata High School. His leadership in these institutions was instrumental in nurturing sports talents, producing some of Kenya’s top athletes.
Hon. Orero first contested the Kibra Constituency seat in the 2019 by-election following the passing of former MP Ken Okoth. Though unsuccessful at the time, he remained active in community service and development initiatives, which contributed to his victory in the 2022 General Election.
As MP, he is committed to improving education, infrastructure, and social services in Kibra, leveraging his vast experience in the education sector to advocate for better learning conditions and youth empowerment.
