Hon. Dr. Lilian Achieng Gogo is the Member of Parliament for Rangwe Constituency in Homa Bay County, Kenya. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science (Food Safety) from Egerton University, obtained between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, she earned a Master of Science in Food Science from the same institution between 2001 and 2004.
Dr. Gogo was raised in a large family as the sixth-born of thirteen children and was the only one her father successfully educated. Her academic achievements have been a source of inspiration within her family; notably, her mother enrolled in primary school at the age of 62 after witnessing Dr. Gogo’s accomplishments.
In her political career, Dr. Gogo has been active in parliamentary proceedings, contributing to various debates and legislative processes.

Hon. Dr. Lilian Achieng Gogo has an extensive background in academia and the dairy industry. She served as a Lecturer at Egerton University’s Faculty of Agriculture from June 2013 to 2017 and previously lectured at Kenya Methodist University between January 2012 and May 2013. From 2007 to 2012, she worked as a Part-Time Lecturer at Egerton University. Before transitioning into academia, she held leadership roles in the dairy sector, serving as a Plant Manager at Spin Knit Dairies from February to May 2001 and as an Assistant Factory Manager at Kenya Cooperative Creameries between 1999 and 2000.
